Deleted from the SIF, here is Amadeuss' Sacred Colour Character Names Thread:
(Thank you Google cache!)

-This Thread contains 2 different Sections with also different subsections- :

1.2 Examples
1.3 The Colour Codes
1.4 Examples

2.1 Icon Colours (under construction)
2.2 Icon Codes (under construction)

- Introduction -

I see from time to time there are still questions about the Colour Codes and the Different Icons which you can add to your character name.

So I decided to create a Thread with all the information you need to do so,to change your character name into a nice colour or several colour's with a nice fade out or different colours together,or let one colour flew over into another, which is my favourite
This is also a not too complicated thread,so things could be easy to understand.
So let's start with the Colours

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

1.1 Html Colour Codes - The A to F Colour Brightness

Every time you want to change a colour or want to begin with a certain colour, you need to start with the following :

\c , \w or \d
Let's use \c - for now,because it's the most logical one,obviously

The next two letters will determine the colour's brightness, which we're going to explain now.
Most of the time someone just start with : \cff - this means someone just want the colour with it's full brightness - nothing more, nothing less.Because when using F's,the colour will get it's full brightness and will be good to see with the Eye.This is what most people want.
Now...
We can make things a bit more complex using letters which will make the colour a bit darker. From slightly different too almost unable to see. This varies from F to A. While the F indicates a normal colour, brightness normal and A the colour with the darkest brightness.

So we have 6 different brightess settings with those colours in the following tabel :
Code:

\cff - lightest \cee \cdd \ccc \cbb \caa - darkest

Of course there are more then 6 different settings here, but I'll let them behind for now
Because you also could use \cfe ... \cfd ... \cfc - and so on.
But these 6 above are the most important ones, those will make also the most difference when changing the brightness of a colour.

Note : There are 5 different colour variables possible within Sacred, this also means you can only use 5 different brightness settings.

Fade out :
With these brightness settings you can create a character name, with a nice fade out.
From \cff to \caa or from \caa to \cff

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

1.2 Html Colour Codes - Examples
Quote:
Example I : A character is called Phenomenon

I do not want to have different colours.
I just want his name with a fade out from light to dark.
I want a noticeable difference every 2 letters.

Note : This is a name with 10 letters, using every 2 letters a different brightness is also useful.

\cffffffffPh\ceeffffffffen\cddffffffom\cccffffffen \cbbffffffon

Reversing the procedure will naturally result into the same name, but now from Dark to Light
Quote:
\cbbffffffPh\cccffffffen\cddffffffom\ceeffffffen\c ffffffffon

Brightness up,Brightness down :
Quote:
Example II : A character is called Phenomenon

I do not want to have different colours
I want his name starting with a little dark brightness, followed by a full brightness in the middle and at the end of his name there must be that same darkness again.
I want a noticeable difference every 2 letters.

Note : This is a name with 10 letters, using every 2 letters a different brightness is also useful.

\cddffffffPh\ceeffffffen\cffffffffom\ceeffffffen\c ddffffffon

Reversing the procedure will naturally result into the same name, but now from light to dark in the middle and a light brightness again at the end.
Quote:
\cffffffffPh\ceeffffffen\cddffffffom\ceeffffffen\c ffffffffon

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

1.3 Html Color Codes - The Color Codes

After the Brightness setting we now have 6 letters more to go or numbers in order to determine the Colour.( \cff xxxxxx) Again this is a 'not too complicated' thread, and that's why I shall only use the most important ones here.
Otherwise you will end up wih something like this :
6 colours,we can use 6 different letters and 10 different numbers

- Letters : 6 x 6 x 6 x 6 x 6 x 6 = 6 ^6 = 46.656 possibilities
- Numbers : 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 x 10 = 10 ^10 = 10.000.000.000 possibilities.
- 10.000.000.000 x 46.656 = 466.560.000.000.000 colour possiblities

You see this a way too big scale,so that's why we are going to use couples of 2 numbers/letters.3 couples per colour.
For instance : \cff ff 33 33
This is also used with most of those Colour Codes Sites, which you can use to see what colour you like to have.

However, there are also different ways to let those colours flew over to one other.
Different sites support this.
For instance you could have one colour but with different intensities
Check this one

Letting colours flew over into eachother but also with different colours
Check this one

More 'detailed' pages this one and this one

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

1.4 Html Colour Codes - Examples
Quote:

Example I : A character is called : Sobi

I do not want any difference in brightess.
I want her name with a Green colour.

*Takes a look at this page*

Note : code 33cc33 is nice Green Colour.

\cff33cc33Sobi

Quote:

Example II : A character is called Phenomenon

I do not want any difference in brightness.
I want his name with a red colour, which will flew over into a some lighter red colour.
I want a noticeable difference every two letters.

Note : This is a name with 10 letters, using every 2 letters a different colour setting is also useful.

*Takes a look at this page*

We will use the codes :

990000
cc0000
ff0000
ff3366
ff0033

\cff990000Ph\cffcc0000en\cffff0000om\cffff3366en\c ffff0033on

Quote:

Example III : A character is called Phenomenon

I do not want any difference in brightness.
I want his name started with a red colour, and it needs to flow over into a yellow colour.
I want 4 different colours in his name.
Orde of the colours it's place doesn't matter

Note : This is a name with 10 letters,only 4 colours will be used however.We'll use 2 x a couple of 2 letters and 2 x a couple of 3 letters - 2 3 2 3
We will use the codes :

ff6600
ff9900
ffcc00
ffff00

\cffff6600Ph\cffff9900eno\cffffcc00me\cffffffff00n on
Quote:

Example IV : A character is called Ligon

I do not want any difference in brightness
I want his name started with an almost white colour, and it needs to flow over into a yellow colour.
I want 5 different colours in his name
I want a noticeable difference every letter.

Note : This is a name with 5 letters, using every letter a different colour is now even necessary.

*Takes a look at this page*

We will use the codes :

ffffcc
ffff99
ffff66
ffff33
ffff00

\cffffffccL\cffffff99i\cffffff66g\cffffff33o\cffff ff00n

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

1.5 Html Colour Codes - Combination of colours and different brightness settings ( Advanced )

Of course we also could use both of them, different colours and different brightness setiings, though it gets a bit more complicated as well. For instance, let's take a previous example :

Quote:

I just want his name with a fade out from light to dark.
I want a noticeable difference every 2 letters.
Note : This a name with 10 letters, using every 2 letters a different brightness is also useful.

\cffffffffPh\ceeffffffffen\cddffffffom\cccffffffen \cbbffffffon

Now...
Let's change this one into one with colours, red for example > Now we have a new order :
Quote:

Example I : A chracters is called Phenomenon

I want to have a red colour is his name.
I want his name with a fade out from light to dark.
I want a noticeable difference every 2 letters.

Note : This a name with 10 letters, using every 2 letters a different brightness and colour is also useful.

We will use the code : ff3333
And the Brightness will go from ff to bb

\cffff3333Ph\ceeff3333en\cddff3333om\cccff3333en\c bbff3333on

( More to come,on this one )

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

1.6 Colour Programs :

Using these Html codes is not necessary if you do not want too complicated colours in your name, but just need fast name for a tune with a decent colour, you could use either the Italian Program or the one by Sacred Junkies. Both seem to work perfectly.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. The Icon codes - ( Due the Holidays, this section have to wait a bit longer, since I will be on vacation for over a month, though I wanted to post what I already finished thus far, more to come as soon as possible )

Hey Dave, you can finish this post of yours now mate. I have forgotten all the codes for icons. I'm sure there are a few other members who would benefit from your font of knowledge:)

This is all there is from Amadeuss. I got this out of the google cache before it disappeared. The original post he made on SIF was the one above. He later posted in the game thread more detail...but that was on page 2 or 3 or 4. I couldn't remember exact text from the secondary page(s)...so I could only get this bit out. Shame really. He did a lot of good work.

I do have (somewhere) links to a German site where they allow you to graphically create your name using symbols... and somewhere else a link to an awesome site full of colours...

Must dredge 'em up.

====

The following color codes correspond to the Orginal Character symbols (Charakterfarben):

E68310 = Gladiator
83CDFF = Seraphim
FFA600 = Dämonin
00FFFF = dwarf
208B20 = Waldelfin
6A4AE6 = Kampfmagier
A420F6 = dark eleven
B45252 = Vampirin

----

\ gffffffff000000D7 = blue star
\ gffffffff000000D6 = fire

To use the program published on the Italian website follow this link:

I have been trying to insert the daemon icon using sacred junkies color
program and can't get it to work. I tried using the italian program and
I must be stupid because I couldn't figure that one out. I tried just
typing in the combos in the place where the name goes in the game but
that doesn't work either. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

I just tend to play around with it, only takes 20 min or so of guess
and check to get it right.. FYI; most characters are either
\gffffffff000004C#(backslash, g, 8 f's, 5 zeroes, 4, c, than any number
between 1 and 9)
there are also a few character icons that work for 4D as opposed to
4C..
Loading up sacred to guess and check for the demon icon, will edit

OK, what follows is all the icons the above (krank's post) program
has... with my own idea of what they are suposed to be=P *the program
doesnt say*..

You use them just like the color codes.. so if you want an icon
somewhere.. put the curser where you want it then type the following
and the icon will appear. A few things to note.. Some icons,
particularly the charicter ones.. seem to have a natural series of
blank spaces that comes after them.. i cant figure out how to fix this,
so use it at the end of your name if you are going to. Most other icons
simply take up the one space where you put them tho.. Also, there are
ALOT more icons out there.. The entire 16 charicter line down there
(everything after the '\g') is part of the code.. so you could go
0123456789abcdef if you wanted, and probibly get somthing, be it a
wierd looking blob or a blank space... Also there appear to be some
icons which are only a 15 charicter code.. to get them you simply hit
space after an icon appears *it will let you go ahead and type a 16th
charicter oncase theres an icon that uses the same first 15* It could
be more complicated than that, as i seem to be able to get some icons
as both 15 and 16 charicters long... so perhaps its more complicated
than simply a long list of various icons...

Anyway be ready for icons to make your name in the charicter selection
screen look totaly wierd and screwy and off center.. ALSO.. and this is
important..

THERE IS A LIMIT TO THE NUMBER OF CHAIRCTERS IN A NAME! When you use a
color or icon code the code you used is still part of your name..
Because of this.. if you have a long name and already have a color code
or three in there.. using more than one icon may be impossible... If
you have a really long name you may not be able to use any at all with
some color codes in there. As far as i can tell the limit is somewhere
around 50 or so..

The codes that the above program lists:

CHARICTER ICONS

\gffffffff000004c3 SERA
\gffffffff000004c5 GLAD
\gffffffff000004c7 VAMP
\gffffffff000004c8 DE

MISC.

\gffffffff00000166 Red OK
\gffffffff00000167 Green OK
\gffffffff00000081 Red X
\gffffffff00000080 Green check
\gffffffff00000483 White X
\gffffffff00000488 A differant green check
\gffffffff0000032a E in a green circle
\gffffffff0000018c Red Cross shield
\gffffffff00000185 Lock

\gffffffff00000481 Key hole
\gffffffff0000048b Some Guy
\gffffffff0000015d Close
\gffffffff0000013e Says somthing
\gffffffff00000477 Left arrow
\gffffffff00000479 Right arrow
\gffffffff00000163 horse button
\gffffffff0000019b Star
\gffffffff0000017a Eye

I DONT KNOW:

\gffffffff00000176
\gffffffff00000187
\gffffffff00000198
\gffffffff00000197
\gffffffff00000196
\gffffffff00000194
\gffffffff00000195

Again there are many many more, just experement if you want to.. I
personaly dont like icons as they make my charicters name offcenter in
the charicter selection screen.. and even tho no one but me sees that..
im crazy

Upon further study it looks to me that all elements of the gui are an
icon... iv found pieces of border and everything.. Iv also found CA
icons, both ready and faded out not ready versions.. MY sera uises
rbol, so i now have a little rbol icon after my name.. which is
\gffffffff0000204

All the other CAs seem to be in the same general area, so just go up
and down from 204 (203 202 201 200 1ff 1fe.. and soforth) untill you
find your own. It seems like theres also some other junk thrown in..
but i went through just about every single BM CA before finding seras,
so they are probibly grouped togeather somewhat.

Sadly these icons have the anoying space after them that you cant get
rid of.. While its no big deal, it will probibly make the name
offcenter in other peoples party health bad thing for you.. so i may
get rid of it. Still its really nice looken.

I must caution people.. PLEASE REMEMBER that people HAVE TO READ YOUR
NAME!!! While it may look cool to have skulls instead of 'O's and
change color between black, neon pink, and forest green every leter..
its just not going to be verry much fun to try and read=P Try to use
soft LIGHT colors, and dont overdo it on the icons.

==========

NEW FINDINGS!

Ok, iv figured it out.. kinda.

The first 8 charicters in the \g code are for color just the same as
color. The game can tent the icons any color you want, the icons
themselves do have color tho so if you leave the color white 'ffffff'
it will show up as normal..

while \gffffffff000004c3 shows a normal seraphim icon,
\gff00ff00000004c3 shows a green seraphim icon.

Somthing else i noticed about the later 8 charicters.. if i typed for
example.. \gffffffff04c3.... with the .s being spaces.. it would still
work, so im gona assume that the code is broken down into three parts..

1. \g
2. The first 8 hex for the colors
3. The second 8 hex for the icon

The game needs there to be 16 charicters. So the 4c3 of the sera icon
is simply the 1219th icon. the 5 0s to the left of it are simply
filler.

So basicly the point of this is, you can tint the icons differant
colors by inputing a color in the first 8 spaces as normal for the name
color changes. Do remember tho that this is just a filter of sorts, the
icons already have a color, so the colors will not match up between
text and the icons. If the icon is a dark icon and you do ffff0000 the
red will be far darker than normal.. You could ofcorse possibly
slightly tent the icon by lowering the first two numbers *which are the
transparency numbers... FF for solid, 00 for invisible and everything
inbetween.. 88 would be halfway.. and soforth*.. IM not sure if this
would cause the icon itself to fade, or simply allow a less solid
application of the color you selected over the icon..

Maximum Carnage:

You'll probably find that the code is split up like so:

\XffYYYYYYZZZZZZZZ (please don't refer to my sig for an explanation
lol)

broken down as follows:

\Xff = the command, replace X with your command

YYYYYY = standard hex code for colour

ZZZZZZZZ = hex code for icon

This explains why \gffffffff000004c3 and \gffffffffo4c3 will produce
the same result. The last 8 characters represent the icon eg 000004c3,
which is the same as 04c3. Its the same as me writing one thousand and
fifty five like so:

00001055

You may even find that \gffffffff4c3 will work too. Its probably just
written as 16 characters to help whoever's typing the code in check
that they have typed it in right, if you don't have 16 characters you
know you've typed something wrong, which may or may not work, probably
give you a surprise and make you say "**** so and so said this would
work what a retard they are....etc". Of course I've not seen the source
code for Sacred so you may well all end up saying that about me......

<_<

>_>

If the code was broken into 3 parts like \XffYYYYYYZZZZzzzz using
\gffffffffo4c3 would not work, as it would assume that ZZZZ was 04c3
when it should be 0000 and zzzz would become 0000 when it should be
04c3.

Trust me, it makes sence

============

The hex code is easy to work out - XXYYZZ

XX = ammount of red

YY = ammount of green

ZZ = ammount of blue

The number for each colour is the hex representation of the numbers 0
to 255, where 00 is 0 and ff is 255. The lower the number the darker
the colour.

Say you wanted dark green, so you want a low green value, about 70.
First convert that 70 into hex (not as hard as it seems). First divide
70 (or whatever value you chose) by 16 (reaches for calculator, i'm not
THAT clever), you get 4.375 - you only need the whole part, not the
decimal, so our first figure is 4. Then multiply 16 by this number, you
get 64, we need 6 more to make 70 so the second figure is 6. Therefore
70 is equal to 46 in hex.

Remember hex is base 16 instead of base 10, so once you get past the
number 9 you have to use letters.... a,b,c,d,e,f to represent 10 to 15
ie 13=d.

Thats it, you have a hex code for your green value.

Then simply put that hex value in the right place. You wont need any
red or blue values so they will be 0, so dark green in hex is 004600.

Remember though that when mixing colours to make other colours its not
like preschool poster pains, you're actually mixing light waves.

red+blue = purple

red+green = yellow (and not some yucky zombie blood colour)

blue+green = magenta (bright light blue, to be avoided at all costs
when you are hungover)

red+blue+green = white (and not some dog**** brown you would expect a
novice artist to mix up)

Ok now after experimenting you'll discover you can make lots of vivid
colours with your fingers (no I don't mean acid), but you cant get
light red/green/blue/canary yellow etc...

To make light colours do the following.

Say you want light red, or some shade of pink for those that way
inclined. First set your red value as normal. Then the other 2 values
instead of being 0 you must increase them, usually to the same value.
The higher you make them, the lighter the colour will be. So for
instance a light purple would be ffccff (red and blue max is purple,
increase the green to lighten the colour).

Thats how we make pwetty colours in the 21st century.

I found out a bit on the icons and posted about them in the thread in
open sacred discussion.. The short answer is..

The code is as follows

\g xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx

With no spaces..

The first 8 xs are color code, the first two are transparency, FF is
solid, 00 is invisable, followed by standard hex colors. The second set
of 8 are the icon code. starting with 00000001, then 00000002 and
soforth, going up to who knows what=P

\gffffffff0000007f is a skull
\gffff00000000007f is a dark red skull

Some icons cause (a) space(s) behind/infront of them, others dont.

That's done by putting \cff tag before the name.
Like \cff*hex code*name

You can find hex code colors at http://html-color-codes.com/.

Now you've just lost me lol^^

Why is 'everybody' going 'crazy' about coloured ingame-names today ?

thehe.. well.. i also posted on SIF already but now i doubt it more and more if it's good idea to post all and everything multiple times on multiple boards, tsehe^^ *headscratch*

Well sure - the answer would be yes, in case the info is somewhat funny, interesting, important, shocking whatever.. that it's good to ensure as many peeps will read it as possible..

but i'm not sure if it is important enough what (i) have been posting there, once i found it.. because someone played thread-treasure hunting again, digging out oldies ;)

Hey np.. no one's 'fault' .. and if, not yours.. just mine, beeing on, reading there too, afterwards^^ :D

and i had almost forgotten how many tiny, small symbols there are to add.. wondering why i still don't want to add some of them to my ingame charnames? :)

add:
i have also corresponded with Nightwolfe already, maybe she'll find a nice place in the FAQ section if all this doesn't exist there already.. would be a pity if it get's lost later..

the one thread you've found - and posted to - (and one out of only a few ones i found then too, later) isn't even stickied at all, and also i a slightly wrong subforum (one can give a char a name in/for all game-types, not only in MP, no? ;) )

This is all great information but I'm of a more simple nature. :o

I have used Sacred Farbnamen Helfer (http://www.schneppi-soft.de/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=213&func=startdown&id=4) since I came across it a couple of years ago.

It allows your name to be in different colours and has symbols as well.

And it is stubbie friendly ;)
