Rotluchs has posted a link to the German High Damage thread... in response to the 20 million hard hit thread in SIF.

Here is the link to the German thread (http://forum.sacred-game.com/showthread.php?t=44747). The German here is very close to English...so no translation is necessary.

So far the top is the DE with 443 million, (well 443951686 to be exact).

Pic here of 443 Million (http://forum.sacred-game.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=24248&d=1153409160).

WIDD, Testosterone, Hard Hit, low life meter (DE looks dead if you look at the graphic meter...but you can have less than 1% of life total and the graphic makes you look dead.)...and crit.

My guess is the prey is chosen as well...to have 0 resistance to poison, and little or no physical resistance too.

Oops...looks like a fire sword. Perhaps that is wrong then. Strange to see a DE hit with fire sword...

Nice damage there. 2.11 billion for the glad. Must be fist of gods on that one.

But how do we know that no cheat and hacks are used?? Most of those damage scores are from open.

If you compare the dam for the Daemon in open and closed you get 1.15 billion in open and 17.12 million on closed. I mean thats 1.13 billion more dam in open. That is a huge diff. The dam in closed and open should be similar if no hacks and cheats are used in open.

Of course I dont read german so there might be an explanation somewhere in the thread that explains the huge diff between closed and open.

I would think people would have exported their characters to open to use the WIDD part of things. WIDD is very very risky in closed HC.

I did a tiny bit of digging, and discovered that people did not share how they got their damage... just how much they did.

Well, yeah! I wouldn't want anyone to know my secrets unless it were someone in my clan that needed help :p I like to share, but there are some things that I keep to myself ;)

If they shared, then others could build on their work and get a bigger number.

Kinda like civilization. The creation of the written word allowed people to pass on info... which then could be improved by future generations... kinda why we have such high standards of living.

Selfishness is a great short term strategy but it is a win-lose strategy... which in the long run becomes lose for the person doing it. Win-win works much better.

Love and share. ;)

About what Frosty said; I read it put best in 'Guns, Germs, and Steel' by Jared Diamond - civilisations advance not by the work of reclusive geniuses, but by the diffusion and recombination of knowledge.
