Tonight Persephone reach 140 and poked her nose into niobium to upgrade her defence sockets before going back to platinum for some more levelling (unraveler reports niobium is vicious, even with only one player in-game).
I thought I would take a break at this point to give a rundown of her progress to date and the current status of her numbers.
Progress - it has taken 6 days to get to 140 from scratch - levels at the end of each day are 47,90,108,125,135,140.

The main item is Solwemyr's Cobalt Staff socketed with the set rings - this gives great spell regen, defence from mental regen, and critical. The rest of the items are the best set items I can get hold of.
Tactics
Get into Soaring Daemon form for speed and defence, power up Infernal Power, raise three disks - then hit and run, letting the disks do the work while you fly round the monsters. Dread is used when caught standing still - at level 62 it reduces enemy attack and defence values by 87%. A combo with 4 level 140 Blazing Disks is used for extreme situations.
All questions or comments welcomed!

WWWwoooooooowwwww! Totally cool!!!!
what level does blazing disc have to be for there to be more than one at a time?
Great piece on the magic Daemon Steve, are you going to try a battle daemon next.

Yes I am, I have one at level 36 - she uses a two-handed sword for attack speed and has Call of Death for charging up her damage, along with dread for defensive boosts.
I'll keep you all posted on how she goes when I get further with her, but she is a lot of fun so far - a completely different way of playing from a disk user!
And you can have as many disks in the air at once as the regen time and duration of the spell will allow - the duration tops out at 60 seconds, so with a regen time of <16 seconds for my level 140 disks I can have three in the air at once - which is nice... :D .

Ask anything you like at any time boss :) .
I hope you have a ton of fun with this; it's quite a contrast to a melee build, but it is a real hoot watching her float around as the disks chew up the monsters  .

You've got me sold Sinc. This is what I am starting this weekend. Thanks so much for posting this. Excellent thread.

At level 153 Persphone has blazing disk at 200 - together with level 35 infernal power, level 27 call of death and 38% critical I've seen a single charged up disk do as much as 203k after resists in hell's ridge plat - so there's definitely plenty of mileage in this build offensively.

Man, I could KICK myself right about now! I was copying this build and my Daemon was up to lvl 22 (yeah, I know, small fish compared to the rest) and I realized that she was *gasp* SOFTcore! So, I am restarting in HC this time.

You are not the first and will not be the last to do this - I usually figure it out when wondering where all the servers came from!

Thanks once again Sinc. :)
My Daemon hit level 100 yesterday with only 2 1/2 days of playing.
Me and omi was partied up killing demons yesterday and she had to leave at level 80 I think.
The last 20 levels were accomplished in less than an hour.
My Daemon is duel wielding, but is a pure magic user, never ever swings a sword.
The purpose of dueling was to use two enlightened irons for the magic regen and special items find.
She definitely ROCKS.

Nice char build you going here Sinc, i love the Daemon but i seem so weak and feeble now LOL. Do you read all your blazing disk runes? or do you socket them or 3.. do you have items that boost the level of it? I have noticed this is a very powerful spell. mines at 10 or 12 and can pack a punch so yours must be awesom.
Off to look into this must be able to do something good with one of my girls *mutters with head down thinking hhmm*

Sandra, I am not steve but I did this build up until my Daemon died at 45. My method with the BD runes- if I needed the damage but my regen time was longer than my duration, I would socket them if I had a free space and a blacksmith close by. But, otherwise, I would save those sockets for other things and just read the runes. If my damage was good and I was close to excedding my duration, then I would keep the extra BD runes in my stash (seperated from the other runes) to keep safe until I needed more.
Also, don't forget that Infernal Power gives a MAJOR boost to your damage so you can run those as well. If you are really good/lucky, you can have the BD and the Infernal Power alternating and so you can constantly have them both running wihtout having any lulls.

Sanny, if you are going pure magic, then it is easy to get huge spell regen and read every disk rune you can make.
I put one skill point per level into meditation or hellpower amd all attributes into mental regen.
Equipment is Solwemyr's Staff, Taelon's set (without the sword), and other gear to give spell regen.
I read Infernal Power, Call of Death, and Dread - all other runes become Disks, and once I have maxed the duration I aim to have three in the air at once at as high a level as possible.
This build is really effective and there are starting to be quite a few of them around in plat and niob!

Yep, true story on the numbers. I think Sinc here has figured out probably one of the best, if not the best of the deamon builds. Act like you are building a mage and go for spell regen. Call of death is awesome. Use it and just watch the damage numbers go up with each kill. Like any character, you have to find a comfortable rythm with it, then you just kick butt. Those nuk nuk chieftains...those disks eat them up. Dobster and I were getting a little revenge for him Saturday night...lol. He was liking it. Thanks Sinc for all the advice, I have her going good now.

I just started a blazer and saw that this thread was almost the last thread on the last page of this section and I dont want this thread to vanish like that great Trapper guide did.
Maybe we should have a sticky and collect all builds in there. That way we wont loose any builds.

For completeness; my current daemon (still 202) has battle daemon at over 100 (including item bonuses) for the physical resistance boost, wears the full Kleb-Dracad set for the immunity to poison bonus, and rides a Mystdale heavy riding horse (no riding skill required) for a +49% boost to health points.
This makes a nice balanced safety build that can survive any fight - in fact her defence is still only about 15k, it's her resistances, health point total and life leech that keeps her alive
