Need some help with this one.
How do I increase the damage with my CA Flame thrower.
Offcourse addinig points in Dwarven Tech, Dwarven lore, reading FT runes. What more ?
How do item modifiers +to fire damage effect the damage of Flame Thrower ?

Well, I ain't a dwarf expert, but doesn't weapon lore also affect the damage on FT. +Fire damage affects the FT, but any modifier with +weapon damage fire %& do not increase the damage.
Ah hell, Thorin where are you?:D

I was sleeping. :) Something I usually do when getting home at 5AM. :%
To make a correction: Dwarven Lore and Weapon Tech do [b]not[/i] increase the damage of the Flamethrower. It just decreases the regentime of it.
To increase the damage you need to put points in Weapon Lore and use +x to fire damage modifiers.
If you got trading shop for lots of +WL amulets, rings and armor; whenever possible combined with +y RSM stats.
I've found several rings for my Dwarf giving a bonus to fire dmg and also giving me +1 skill, which are very useful.
Socketing amulets giving you +1 to CA's is another useful step, as it increases the FT, but isn't affecting the regentime as bad as reading a rune.
And the last piece of your equipment is Thain's Axe.
It gives you a nice boost to Weapon Lore, has an "+x% to firedmg" mod at it and the WiDD it has, helps you do more dmg the moment you got hurt.
You need to have 20 points in Axe Lore and be minimal lvl 38 to wield it, but the AL requirement can be override by socketing a ring having a higher requirement in another skill you have.

Thanks for the answer.
I'am current lvl 70 with my Dwarf and have trading 145, I now know what to looking for.
What do you think of using a full falda set, instead of Thains Axe.

A socketed fad axe has a chance to be triggered by each attack, so anything that attacks multiple targets/multiple times will give you the most benefit - flame thrower probably fits the bill very well.

Do the +fire damage rings also add to Flame Thrower? I'm asking about the +number ones and not the extra percentage damage ones.

Tbh, I don't know. :o
I'm usually shopping for as much +1 skill items as possible and the other stats are just an advantage that comes with that.
It took me 3 years :% to realize how important a high lvl WL is, but not I have realized that, I also can understand why some players are able to do such incredible dmg.
Considering WL increases your dmg with an X% each time you put a skillpoint in it, imo it would be a better idea to use rings giving you a bonus to fire, a bonus to Firedmg in % (converted to fire or an atribute) and + 1 skills. I've seen (and used) those rings, so they do exist.
As for using Fag's....erm Fad's axe; I'm not particular fond of that weapon.
Yes it does incredible fire dmg, when you are using the axe!
But you aren't going to use the axe, you're going to use FT, making some of the stats of Fag's axe worthless.
The only good thing of using that Axe is the chance to get a Critical Hit, which is quite high for both the axe and the full set as can be seen here (http://www.pevilsplace.co.uk/sacred/fadalmars.php). But that's it.
The reason why I reccommended to use Thain's axe is because of the huge WL bonus you get.
A Bronze / Silver (lvl 38 min) Thains gives you +9 in WL.
One from Gold (lvl 60) gives you +9 WL, while one in Niob (lvl 140) is able to give you +26WL.
Considering it also add Split (3%) and WiDD to your stats, make it a far better axe as Fads.
But that's my personal opinion.

common modifiers increasing dmg of offensive/active dwarfen techniques :
Weapon lore (therefore +WL/all skills equip too)
+strenght (for FT eg.)
+dex (for CB eg.)
+pyhs reg. (all)
SB
FT,MG,CB,TM runes readed/socketed (therefore +to all CA's too)
+FT,MG,CB,TM on equip,shopped (bugged in MP,low values)
+to fire dmg xx % like on thodrans helmet (FT,MG,TM)
+to physical dmg xx % like on drauglurs warmace (MG,CB)
+to all damage types xx% like b-smith+forger skills(FT,MG,CB,TM)
+crit hit xx % (strange/uncommon behaviour once dmg cap reached-unconfirmed)
modifiers that will not work for FT/CB:
eg:
+to weapon dmg xx phys regen xx %
+to weapon dmg xx against monster xx
xx fire,etc.. dmg on rings (base dmg ALWAYS for weapons only)
etc etc etc.. (i'm sure i missed some modifieres, these here are the most common/used ones)
you'll see that there are different methods to push your dmg of FT..
especially in the early beginning, there are many methods and variations possible, each one with it's benefits..
for me, it just depends on what equip i can choose from at the beginning.
for FT, i usually prefer a few +CA ammys, rest for +crit/split ammys
with a nice rsm value, it's enough to keep WL on charlvl for the first 20-60 lvls, rest comes from a few readed in runes..
WL is extremely powerful especially for dwarfen technicians, because it boost dmg 3x a time of as it should, normally (or as it does for normal weapons)
You'll see that you can reach the damage 'cap' easily and very soon, no matter on what mods you're most likely to stick with..
most effective/easy base-mods are WL and +dmg xx%, combined with runes..
max dmg btw is - once more - for each dmg type, and ONLY for FT,CB,MG,(TM):
~2^16 base dmg per dmg type (fire on FT eg., or fire+phys for MG)
this is - more or less - a real cap. base dmg ~60k is max. always.
you can only get more with a high SB and crit (although crit works.. strange once base dmg is capped/limited to 2^16)
my 216 dwarf eg. has ~55k CA base-dmg, and ~80k with SB, and way more than a xx(50%) chance for crit hit.
but it's hardly ever possible to see better crithits then those 2xdmg ones, and the 3xdmg hits are also more than rare.. no idea why.
sometimes it seems like it's easier to strike crit hits with normal weapons for him (highly subjective only, not tested seriously)
