View Full Version : vampires Must Be..................
For the first time since I started playing Sacred I started a Vampire. Vampires must be right up there amongst the most bugged toons. I had more CTD's and hang-ups with this toon just leveling to level 10 than I would in a month of playing Daemons. I think this vampire of mine will stay parked at lvl 10.

really? thats odd....I've not had a CTD since I reloaded Sacred and I've been playing my lvl 110 vamp a fair bit.
Though I would agree there are some odd bugs with a vamp - like being able to kill monsters through solid walls with multi hit (its my favorite bug)

Same bug sometimes occurs with the DE's HH and Attack, so I don't think that kind of bug is special to the vamp.
Don't play vamp that often, but I've never noticed any extra amount of ctd's when I do though.

Never had PC trouble playing a vamp. And get MH up near 100 and its just silly against undead with the vamp charge-up - through walls, off-screen, they all die! I stopped using Attack back in Plus because MH is just all-round better - even the individual hits count for the charge-up, whereas a whole Attack sequence only counts once.

What combat arts/vampire arts were you using? I dont' have much CTD trouble... and haven't noticed anything in my private server games (tests?) in the last few weeks (vampiress doing BV/SC quests to about level 11 maximum).

I am not using any CA's as yet and only vampirism. It might have been my internet connection playing up. I'll try again later today and see how it goes.

I have never had any trouble with vamps crashing dags must be ur connect.

Thanks guys, yes I tried again today and I had no problems. Where I live I can only get ADSL. I am right at the maximum phone line distance from the exchange so my download and upload speeds can vary quite substantially. Even at the best of times I can only get 128 upload speed, so I would say it is my internet connection, bummer:p

I'm also playing my first vamp (thanks to Gimpa's glowing report on their features). Your description here sounds great if I could translate it to English.
What's a charge-up? It sounds like every hit makes her stronger. That would explain how great she is in vamp mode. :o

yep thats pretty much what it means. You'll notice that during night or when you are in a cave and in Vampire form you get this strange looking glow around your hands and body - thats the charge up. You do a lot more damage with that on.
It wears off if you dont hit monsters but soon comes back again

Thanks - I did noticed that glow and wondered why it went on and off. :D Aside from Turn to Vamp, what other enhancements are good. I've heard about the 'read 1 jump, 1 TiV, & 1 HH' combination. So far I just have 2 TiV read (but others socketed).
